The health focus of the National Discrimination and Racism Monitor shows: Experiences of discrimination and/or racism are reported particularly frequently for the area of healthcare - and not only by those potentially affected by racism.
Racism and discrimination are not a marginal phenomenon, but directly or indirectly affect a large proportion of the population. This NaDiRa Report 2023 builds on the initial study Racist Realities. It is dedicated to the experiences that people in Germany have with discrimination and racism and also highlights structural barriers in society. Based on representative surveys and supplemented by qualitative studies, it deals with both overall perspectives and the perspectives of those affected by racism. The focus of this report is on the topic of health and healthcare in relation to racism and discrimination. The current findings of the NaDiRa.panel and other NaDiRa research projects lead directly to recommendations for action for policy-makers and healthcare stakeholders.
